Without the ability for citation, it is going to really challenge credibility of most all writing. AI makes a good tool for research, but without any citation, attribution, and full transparency the truth factor is going to take quite a hit.

I'm not against the AI tsunami, but it we need to figure out how it is going to work within the ethical frameworks that have been a mainstay of journalism and serious documentary work.

I don't think we have a handle on it quite yet.
