Thanks for writing the article. Important points to think about.

However, I have a different take on this.

Nobody cares how long we have done it, or how much money our gear cost, or insurance, or anything at all. I don't care how much the pizza oven cost the pizzeria, if their pie ain't worth $30 bucks to me I am not buying it.

Photographers need to stop thinking about photography as a commodity and begin thinking of it as an art, or a craft, or simply IP.

The value lies in the eyes and pocketbooks of the. beholder. If they think that your work has value, and that value is commensurate with what you charge, they will buy.

Photographers need a story.

They need to create a buzz about their work.

Because at the end of the day absolutely no one cares about any of our photographs... unless those photographs are desired by them.

And whether we shoot on a film camera, or the latest and greatest digital, they simply do not care.
