What they are trying to do is legitimize the crap by calling it something already legitimate.

They MUST do that because when they try to own what it is that they actually do, no one cares. It is no longer interesting, and the total disconnect from reality becomes plain to see.

Why don't they just OWN what they do instead of trying to hump it on to an art form that is nearly 200 years old and requires more skill than typing "Pink elephant in a blue tutu" to create.
