I am sorry. I missed the context of your article.
I have been a working fashion photographer for most of my life — well, a professional photographer for 50+, and I shot fashion in NYC, and Chicago for 25 of those years before going more commercial.
I only work with professional models and was a bit surprised that pro models and agencies were allowing ‘guests’. Yes, I do know how hard it can be on models in the business. It is very hard on pro models in the big markets, not nearly as much in smaller markets (I live in Phoenix).
The current “modeling” situation outside of agency work is not known to me (nor do I wish to be involved) as it is terribly dangerous for models and photographers alike. I see why you allow guests, and I now know the context in which you made the argument.
I was wrong to insert my instant idea of what “modeling” is in today’s world, and for that, I do apologize.
Stay safe — make more glorious photos.
